Tasks and objectives

The four Leibniz Institutions involved in the 4R Competence Network conduct research into social and physical structures on different scales. Their work is a precondition for application-oriented provision of concepts, proposals for action and political advice. The research areas are predominately Germany and Europe. It is one aim to promote effective controlling and planning of spatial developments and to give recommendations for a social and environmentally sound development.
